Three Advantages of an Insured Real Estate Business

Having insurance is important for people and for businesses. Whether you are in the real estate business or you’re considering entering the field, it’s crucial to have insurance for your business. Here are some advantages of an insured real estate business.

Insurance is Surprisingly Affordable

Getting a real estate business insured is more affordable than many believe. There are several cheap insurance policies that offer important protection to a real estate business. It’s important to have liability insurance to cover lawsuits from disgruntled customers. If your real estate business has an office, property insurance is also a necessity.

By shopping around, getting a few quotes and doing some comparisons, real estate businesses can find the right policy no matter what their venture is. Whether they need cheap buildings insurance policies or another type, there are various policies from which to choose.

Insurance Offers More Security

Insured real estate businesses have more security than those that take the chance of operating without that protection. Businesses that do not get insurance just to save a few dollars may find themselves in a bad situation down the road.

Insurance Protects Employees and the Company

A company that has insurance is likely to be more stable financially, which benefits both employees and the company. A company with worker’s compensation insurance, for example, doesn’t have to be concerned if an employee is hurt on the job. The employee, on the other hand, knows he or she will continue to be paid until they can return to work.

Charity and Fundraising Opportunities

Business is all about profit. But karma suggests that the more you make, the more it behooves you to give back to the community. Giving to charities isn’t simply about writing a check. Time and your business expertise are priceless gifts that only you can give.

It is often your specific business acumen that can exponentially increase your charitable gift. It is often those in the private sector that enable charities to gain advantages beyond what they could normally accomplish.

Fundraising for charities is often left to volunteers who may have the time, but not the experience in raising money. By involving your business in fundraising, you can bring a holistic approach and treat the effort in the same way you’d treat any project. You can provide a new a level of research, planning and ultimately a significant return on investment.

Instead of purchasing a generic “fundraiser in a box” and hoping for the best, a business expert can look for the best method to meet the set fundraising goal. Historically casino type gaming fundraisers have been top money makers at charity events. By doing basic research it is easy to find a gaming site that offers a casino bonus and give more opportunities for charities and fundraiser attendees to play and win for a smaller initial investment. More play equals more fun. Happy fundraising attendees give more today and are more likely to support the charity in the future.

By offering expertise in addition to money, you can increase your charitable contributions. Build valuable networks, and add to your karma bank.

Good Public Relations

Public relations for a company is a great way to make sure that there is the recognition and acknowledgement that is desired. The key is to have a solid person available to produce website content, articles, and news releases so that the public is made aware of the company’s vision and goals that are in place for a successful venture. The other aspects of the good PR is to make sure that there is a person available to help curb negative press, and help with damage control.

These include children’s hospitals events, parks and recreation, and even church events. Schools tend to be a big mark on these types of plans along with housing communities.

Some of the PR job descriptions also include that representing an organization through event planning for events that involve county offices, state and/or other government agencies for the sole purpose of company growth and development. Many of the people responsible for establishing some of the companies plan are usually based out of a marketing firms or out of advertising agencies that focus on publication for recognition.

Marketing for a cause

Believe in the cause

If it is your job to provide marketing for a foundation or non profit then you may have to make yourself believe in the cause or at least think like someone who does but if you are volunteering be sure to lend your skill and time to something you really do believe in. People hear cheesy jingles and sales pitches 10 times a day and proficiently detect scammers. Set yourself and your organization a part by making an honest heartfelt appeal. This can only be done when the heart is involved and it is the most effective way to gain an audience.

Be Bold

Asking for money is only easy when you believe in the cause. Many times marketers come off as timid or even apologetic when asking for funds for worthy causes. This is unfortunate, if you believe in a cause then be bold when asking for support. You should believe that if everyone knew how great your cause is they would support you. The task simply becomes effectively getting the word out so be loud and proud.

Be creative

Instead of just doing run of the mill advertising think outside of the box. If marketing is for a children’s foundation consider setting up a booth at the park or zoo and hand out balloons with the foundation’s info on it or hand out personalized crayon boxes with the foundation’s logo. There are 1,ooo’s of ways to make an impression so think creatively to cement the name and needs of your cause in the minds of your target audience.

Getting Your Business Involved in a Charity

Many individuals give their time and money in different ways to many different charitable organizations. As a business there are also many ways you can get yourself and your employees involved in helping the community.

Getting a business involved in a charity is a good way to help the community. Depending on the popularity of a business it can pull in many more donations than what could have been obtained by an individual. A business can help out a charity and raise funds by either holding an internal fundraising day, or holding an event to which community members can attend.

Internal company fundraisers are a great way to help raise money for a particular charity. They are also a great way for staff members to bond and to boost company morale. Holding an afternoon tea is a good example. Everyone can make something to sell, such as cupcakes, and the money raised can go to a nominated charity. Some companies constantly donate to charity with the profits from office vending machines.

Community fundraisers held by companies are very popular. The ideas for this are plentiful and will always garner support. Events such as fancy dress balls are always popular with those wanting to have fun whilst donating to charity. Silent auctions are also popular. Scout around to other local business to see what will be donated for free. The money raised from the auction can then go to charity. In turn it will also help to promote many other businesses.

Donating to charity, whether as an individual or a business is an important way to continue the work of such important organizations.

How Your Business Can Support Charities

In today’s economy, you may not think your business can afford to give back to the community. However, it’s companies who support charity that achieve the right kind of lasting impression on customers. Marketing for a cause can be beneficial to you, as well as your charity of choice. Try a mail campaign that not only raises funds for a charity, but also puts your business in the minds of customers in a positive way.

Create a campaign where you mail postcards to your company’s mailing list. On the front of the card, announce that you’re asking your customers to help you raise money for an area charity. On the back of the postcard, place a web address that directs the customer to a donation site. Ask the customer to go to that site and make a donation. If possible, make sure that destination site is part of your company website. As the customer is making the donation, they’ll be connecting it with your business’s good name.

Another way to reach out is to simply host a benefit. How about an open house at your office where you serve refreshments? Ask customers to come by and make a donation to a specified charity. Again, postcards make a great way to advertise the event. If the front is the invitation, include information on the back on how to make an online donation for those who can’t attend the open house. Businesses that are active in this way tend to build a very loyal customer base. With minimal expense, you can turn your goodwill into good business.

What Does Charity Really Mean?

There are a lot of different opinions about what a charity really is in our society. For some people, it is nothing more than a hand out that some people give others, often for no other reason than guilt. For others, a charity is a passion, and a chance to give other people a better chance than their forebears had in life. The opinion you have about what charity really means says a lot about you.

For many people, charity seems to accomplish very little. To them, the entire idea of giving money to a company designed not to make a profit sounds as absurd as throwing that same money into a well and making a wish. For them, charities are a waste of time, and do little more good than providing jobs for people who might not be able to make it in any other line of work. Needless to say, these types of people tend to be very bitter, both about giving to their fellow human beings and about life itself.

By contrast, the people who tend to be the most generous toward charities are the types who tend to be the happiest. There is even proof that giving makes people happier. The act of giving to someone else, whether that person is a family member, a friend or even a stranger who is in need, actually triggers chemicals to activate in one’s brain that cause a feeling of happiness in the person doing the giving. This is one possible explanation for the old idea of karma, and how giving to others tends to result in the greatest happiness.

Tax Deductions for Traveling Professionals

There are lots of things we can deduct on our tax return, and depending on what the occupation is, there’s even more to be deducted.

  • Car
  • Insurance
  • Gasoline
  • Mileage
  • Food
  • Hotel
  • Transportation (like cab fare and airfare)
  • Any supplies for the job
  • Business cards
  • Special clothing or safety wear
  • Uniforms

  • Classes, tuition, books, supplies
  • And more; find out all your deduction possibilities

The deductions can be taken two ways. There’s quite a few who go by the old saying, “Every little bit counts,” and those few are the smart ones. Be sure to take advantage and maximize the tax refund by taking every legal deduction possible.
